🎮 QRcade — Privacy Policy

QRcade ("we", "us") is a party-game platform available at play.qrcade.space and as the QRcade Android app. We built QRcade to be fun and privacy-respecting: no account is needed to play, and we collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Anonymous gameplay analytics — which games are opened and played, session length, and a random anonymous device identifier we generate. This contains no personal details and is not tied to your identity.
- Nicknames — the display name you type when joining a room. It is shown only to other players in your room and is not linked to any identity.
- Purchase & entitlement state — if you buy QRcade Plus or coins, our payment providers tell us whether your purchase is active so we can unlock the content. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- In-game economy — coins, streaks, and owned cosmetics are stored locally on your device (browser storage / app storage). They stay on your device unless you choose to sync in the future.
What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, emails, or passwords are required to play.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, or camera/microphone access.
- Motion-sensor data (for motion games like Bowling) is processed on your device only and never leaves your phone — only the resulting move (e.g. "throw power 0.7") is sent to the game.
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
Payments & third-party services
Purchases are handled by trusted providers who act as the merchant of record. We only receive a yes/no entitlement — never your payment details.

Children
QRcade is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. We collect no personal information from children. Nicknames are free text chosen by players and are not stored after the game room closes. Any real-money purchase is protected by a parental gate (a simple grown-up check) before checkout.
Data retention
Game rooms and nicknames are deleted when the room closes. Anonymous analytics are kept only in aggregate to improve the games. On-device data (coins, cosmetics) remains on your device until you clear the app's storage.
How to delete your data
- On-device data (coins, nicknames, settings): clear the QRcade app's storage in Android Settings, or clear your browser's site data for play.qrcade.space.
- Anything else: email us at tamirshmu@gmail.com with the request and we'll delete any associated records.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of QRcade after a change means you accept the updated policy.
